- ICANN Settles Dispute with VeriSign
Pressured from ICANN and competing domain registrars, VeriSign suspended the Site Finder service shortly after it was introduced. The company sued ICANN months later, arguing that the agency's actions, including the decision on Site Finder, impeded VeriSign's efforts to offer moneymaking services. ICANN later countersued.

ICANN is posting for public comment Renewal Proposals submitted by the current .aero, .coop, and .museum Sponsors. The current sponsoring organizations' agreements with ICANN for these three top-level domains will expire in 2006, and Renewal Proposals have been submitted in accordance with the terms of the current agreements
